We Out Here




Brand identity created for Gilles Peterson’s new UK festival, We Out Here. With Gilles' legacy spanning over four-decades, the brief emphasised the need to create a brand that appealed to a broad audience. From the original Dingwalls crowd, to London’s young jazz scene (as seen in the Brownswood documentary and festivals namesake ‘We Out Here: A LDN Story’), to the new era club kids, as well as families, making the festival truly multigenerational.

This meant the identity had to be fun and energetic, but also credible and accessible. The identity drew inspiration from its jazz roots, featuring dynamic illustrations that capture the travelling of sound and the fluidity of dance.
